Register to Speak at a Council or Committee Meeting

If you wish to speak at a meeting of:

  • Council;
  • the Operations and Community Services Committee; or
  • the Strategic Planning and Development Committee

please complete the Registration Form below before 3.00pm on the day of the meeting.


If you wish to speak at a meeting of:

  • the Waverley Traffic Committee

please complete the Registration Form below before 3.00pm on the Wednesday before the meeting.

Meeting agendas are available online on the Friday afternoon prior to the meeting.


If you wish to speak at a meeting of the Waverley Development Assessment Panel (WDAP) please do not use this form, but email the WDAP Coordinator on WDAP@waverley.nsw.gov.au


Things you need to know about speaking at a Council or Committee meeting

When speaking at a Council or Committee meeting you need to know that:

  • Your image and speech will be live streamed and a recording will be available on Council's website.
  • You may only speak on items that are listed on the meeting agenda.
  • Your speech must be no longer than three minutes. If there is more than one person speaking on the same item, you must share the three minutes.
  • Your name will be included in the minutes of the meeting unless you request otherwise.
  • Meetings are held on Level 3 of the Council Chambers. Upon arrival please take a seat in the public gallery and wait for the Chair to call you into the meeting.

When speaking at a Waverley Traffic Committee meeting you need to know that:

  • Meetings are not open to the public. However, residents and members of the public may speak on items that are listed on the meeting agenda.
  • Your speech must be no longer than three minutes.
  • At the conclusion of your speech you must leave the meeting room.
  • Your name will be included in the minutes of the meeting unless you request otherwise.
  • Meetings are held on Level 3 of the Council Chambers. Please sign in at reception, proceed to Level 3 and take a seat outside the meeting room and wait for a staff member to call you into the meeting.

Council and Committee meetings are conducted in accordance with Council's Code of Meeting Practice.

Meetings of the Waverley Traffic Committee are conducted in accordance with the Waverley Traffic Committee Charter.


What happens after I submit the online registration form?

You will receive an email confirming that you have registered to speak at the meeting. Your registration details will be provided to the Chairperson shortly before the meeting starts.
